HideApp ("App", "we", "us", "our") is a global chat and social messaging application developed and operated by hyperr volt, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use HideApp.

By downloading, installing, or using HideApp, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately and delete your account.

This policy complies with the Google Play Store Developer Policy, Information Technology Act 2000, and IT (Intermediary Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

• Name, username, and profile photo
• Email address or phone number (for registration and verification)
• Date of birth (for age verification, as required by Google Play Families Policy)
• Gender (optional)
• Bio or status message (optional)

B. Communication Data

• Messages, chats, photos, videos, voice notes, and files you send or receive
• Group memberships and chat history
• Read receipts and online/offline status (can be disabled in settings)

C. Usage & Analytics Data

• App features used, session duration, and interaction frequency
• Search queries made within the app
• Friend/follower connections and activity logs
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics

D. Device & Technical Data

• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• IP address and approximate location (city/country level only)
• Android Advertising ID (resettable via device settings)
• Network type (Wi-Fi or mobile data)

E. Permission-Based Data (only with your explicit consent)

• Camera & Storage — to send photos and videos
• Microphone — to send voice messages
• Contacts — to find friends already using HideApp
• Notifications — to send message alerts

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve HideApp's core features
• To create and manage your account securely
• To deliver messages, notifications, and friend suggestions
• To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and prohibited content
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and legal obligations
• To respond to your support requests and grievances
• To send important service updates and security alerts
• To conduct analytics to improve app performance and user experience

We do not sell your personal data to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Security

• All messages are transmitted using end-to-end encryption (E2EE)
• Data is stored on secure servers using industry-standard AES-256 encryption
• We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours
• Our employees do not have access to the content of your private messages
• You can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added account security

HideApp is NOT intended for children under 13 years of age. We comply fully with the Google Play Families Policy and do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

• Age verification is mandatory during registration
• Users aged 13–17 must provide verifiable parental or guardian consent
• If we discover that a user under 13 has created an account, it will be permanently deleted immediately

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
• Deletion: Delete your account — all associated personal data will be erased within 30 days
• Portability: Download your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke any permission (camera, contacts, etc.) at any time via device settings
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications in app settings

8. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained while account is active
• Account deletion: Personal data purged within 30 days of deletion request
• Legal/compliance data: Retained as required by Indian law (up to 5 years)
• Anonymized analytics: May be retained indefinitely (cannot identify individuals)
• Server backups: Purged within 90 days

9. International Data Transfers

HideApp serves users globally. Your data may be processed on servers located in India or other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place — including standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements — to protect your information in accordance with applicable laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification and/or email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of HideApp after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
